It was a virtual board room style interview with some of the current employees. It was pretty conversational and there was time for Q&A at the end. They asked a lot of behavioural questions and also a few easy technical ones. Overall it was a positive process, and the team was kind and understanding.

The interview process seemed to go well, even though there were many students interviewing. It might be a bit challenging to get into the technical component (TC), but once you're in, it appears that the company treats its staff well. I've heard that it can be quite competitive for students to secure an offer by the end of their internship.

So the whole process was 3 rounds. First up was this basic aptitude test, you know, checking logical reasoning and how good I am with numbers. Then came the second round, which was a mix of technical stuff and HR questions. They asked me about my projects and technical knowledge, and also about my background. The last round was a video HR interview, mainly to see how I communicate, if I'm confident, and if I'd fit in with the company culture.

The hiring manager called to set up an interview. About a week later, you meet on Teams with a panel of four people, including the hiring manager. I've done over a dozen interviews with reputable O&G companies this season, and this was by far the worst experience I have had. Almost none of them felt like they wanted to be there and like it was more of a chore. I saw maybe one smile and most of them, including the manager, came off cold and uninterested. In terms of questions, they gave little or no opportunity to highlight relevant work experience or technical knowledge, and it was entirely behavioral. Poor experience overall; be wary if you're entering the Washington, PA office.
