Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TC Energy.
Analyst
Interviewed twice, both went great. There were months that went by between interviews and communication could have been better, but on the other side it is understandable as to why they did not communicate in a timely manner. The only complaint I have about the process is HR. The woman who sent me my offer letter was pretty rude to me which was very off putting.
- What qualifications do you have that would make you a good candidate for this position?
Analyst
The interview process was laid-back, with formal questions. Three senior team members and the manager were on the panel. The questions were behavioral and situational, mostly asking about past experiences in similar roles.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to be innovative to overcome an obstacle?

I got an email from the 'Recruitment Consultant, Talent Acquisition' person. She said she liked my resume and wanted to set up a phone interview, asking for my availability. I replied quickly, thanking her and giving her a time. But I didn't hear back until I emailed her again on the day of the interview, asking if we needed to reschedule. The interview was moved. It felt more like an interrogation than a real interview. She mentioned she moves between offices, so candidates should email her with questions instead of calling. She said she'd let me know if they were moving forward with my application. I followed up by email 11 days later, with no reply. Then I followed up again 20 days later, asking about the search progress, and still no response.
