First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tata Technologies.
Tech Lead
The interview process was a good new experience. They asked about PLM Teamcenter architecture customization, solution development, data structures, algorithms, ITK programming languages, leading a project, and technical details of product lifecycle management. The interview process was smooth and hassle-free. The questions were decent, with some direct technical questions along with scenario-based questions.
- Can you discuss the architecture and system design for PLM Teamcenter?
- Tell me about PLM Teamcenter architecture customization, solution development, and data structures.
- What are your thoughts on data structures and algorithms in this context?
Software Engineer
I had two tech rounds initially. The first tech round was about software competency, specifically using MATLAB. The second tech round focused on my past work experience, and we had a general discussion about it. About two weeks after that, the technical manager confirmed my progress, and I had a third round which was a phone interview. This final round covered salary, joining dates, and my reasons for leaving my current job.
- Can you describe the workflow from software creation to delivery?
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- What are your salary expectations?
Android Developer
The interview was for one of their clients, IAV. I successfully cleared the first two rounds. For the third round, a call was scheduled with their client. However, the day before the call, it was cancelled. Subsequently, the HR department became unresponsive to my calls. This entire experience felt unprofessional, especially considering it was an MNC and one would expect more professional conduct.
- Can you tell me about Android basics?
- What are your skills in Kotlin?
- Do you have experience with Java related questions?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
The interview was at an intermediate level. They started with questions on basic data structures and algorithms, specifically focusing on arrays and strings. Then, they moved on to basic database concepts, including MySQL questions and queries. Following that, they asked about Java, covering topics like OOP, the Collection Framework, Strings, and Spring Boot. After the technical questions, they inquired about my project, asking about the team size and the rationale behind selecting certain software for the application. Finally, they asked some questions directly from my resume.
- Two coding questions related to strings.
- Questions on aptitude and reasoning.
- Questions covering basic computer systems.
