Customer Success Manager
So the interview process has a few steps. First, they'll look at your resume. Then, there are interviews, some one-on-one and maybe a group one. They might also give you a skills test. They really want to know about your experience with customers, if you're good with data integration technically, and if you'd fit in with Talend's vibe.

Solutions Consultant
I applied online via LinkedIn. A recruiter contacted me within a day and seemed quite interested. We had a phone interview two days later. Later that week, the recruiter set up meetings with the presales director and manager. Both of those interviews went well, with some unusual but not entirely strange questions. The next step was a panel interview and preparation meeting scheduled for the following week. I received the materials and directions for the panel, which involved some technical aspects, and I worked on it for five days. The panel was scheduled for Monday, but on Friday afternoon, I received a cancellation email stating they had hired a solutions consultant that week. I found the company disorganized and disrespectful to candidates, especially since the position remained open.

Software Engineer
I applied online after finding a job posting on LinkedIn. A recruiter from the company contacted me for a phone screening. The call covered some basic technical questions to verify my understanding of core concepts. Although I didn't advance further, the interview experience was great. The recruiter, Lesley, was really engaged and paid attention while assessing my skills and interests. She also expertly answered my questions. On top of that, she was very friendly and nice to talk to. When they chose another candidate, Lesley sent me a personal note. (This was very thoughtful, especially nowadays when automated rejections are common and ghosting happens a lot.) I would definitely recommend Lesley to a friend or colleague and would consider applying again if a suitable position opens up.

Principal Customer Success Manager
The interview process started with a nearly hour-long, thorough recruiter call. Next, I had a 45-minute call with the hiring manager where we discussed customer success, my approach, and experience. This was followed by a technical screening with a solution engineer. The process concluded with a panel interview that included two role-playing exercises. While I didn't perform my best in the panel, the process itself was fair and well-structured. For the first time in a while, I felt assessed by competent people who understood customer success. Although I didn't get the offer, I respect the decision of such capable interviewers.
