It felt like the job description didn't quite line up with the actual job expectations, and the interviewer seemed rushed and impatient when I tried to understand why.

The interview process overall was a good one and I really liked talking with the Talent Acquisition team. It seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and told me about cool stuff that was coming up. Everyone I talked to was super nice and made sure I had a good experience as a candidate. Even though it didn't end up working out, it was a positive experience and I'd definitely consider this company again.

The interview process was lengthy but it was pretty simple and actually good because I got to meet a lot of the team and really see what the culture is like. First, there was a recruiter phone screen, then a video interview with my direct manager, followed by a site visit and an interview with a team member. After that, I had a video interview with someone from a cross-functional team, and then finally, a video interview with the hiring manager. It took about a week after applying to get the phone screen scheduled, and then about 2 weeks total to finish all the interviews. They gave me an offer just a few hours after my last interview.

The whole thing started with a recruiter phone screening, then a phone screen with the Engineering Director. After that, I got a take-home project. A week later, I had a debrief with an engineer. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager for the team. There was some internal issue, and then I had a final interview with the CTO. Honestly, it was a pretty drawn-out process, felt like too many interviews and a lot of red tape. It took about a week to hear back after each stage, and the entire thing stretched out over two months. Most of the team was pretty cool, but the CTO was super aggressive, and that interview was really hostile. The HR people weren't great communicators either; they actually made it seem like I had an offer before taking it back.
