Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through a bunch of phone and video calls with different engineering folks and also some people from biz dev. It was mostly behavioral and about cultural fit. After a few interviews, I had a take-home assignment where I had to read their engineering vision, principles, and practices doc and answer questions about applying it.

Behavioral Technical

A recruiter reached out to me and confirmed my interest in the position. I then received a Manager exercise where I had to answer behavioral questions about my approach to scenarios and my feelings about management. This was followed by a series of virtual meetings with Product, Engineering Architects, and the VP of Engineering. After that, I had a Founder's review where I met with the CTO & CEO. I received an offer a short time later.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I started with an external recruiter, then an internal recruiter. After that, I spoke with the VP of Engineering for about an hour to discuss my background and see if I was a good fit. Then, I got an exercise where I had to write about different scenarios and how I'd deal with them. The next part was three separate interviews: one with the VP of Engineering again, one with the VP of Product, and one with a Software Architect. They each asked questions related to their expertise, often about past experiences or hypothetical situations. The last interview was with the founders, who also asked about my experience and different scenarios. I always got to ask questions at every stage. Lastly, they contacted my 3 references.

  • Tell me about a time when you encountered a specific situation.
