Behavioral Technical

I had two interviews, one with HR and then one with the Technical Hiring Manager. Both interviews focused on general behavioral questions and information about the role. If they liked me and considered me after those two interviews, the next step would have been an onsite visit.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I talked to a recruiter who mentioned three jobs, Project Controller III to Manager in Biosciences, using my NIH and FP&A background. They didn't really explain the next steps, just said someone would reach out because the previous people left. The whole thing took over a month and had three interviews. It was unclear when they'd hire, how many interviews there'd be, or who I'd meet. After my last interview with the VP of FP&A, they hinted I might move on. But two weeks later, they said they weren't filling that specific role. The whole process felt messy and like they didn't care about our time or the urgent need to fill the job.

Behavioral Technical

The first stage focused a lot on my research background, which I guess makes sense for a research role. But the interaction was kinda weird. The recruiter didn't really tell me anything about the job or the company, and didn't seem interested in getting to know me either. It was all about my research projects and she sounded kinda aggressive. When I tried to ask about the role or the company vibe, she seemed annoyed and uninterested. So, my advice is definitely be ready to deep dive into your research skills, as that's probably the main thing they're looking for.
