First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Signature.
Sales Representative
I had a Zoom call with a recruiter to start, then I came into the office. I met with two account managers, and they asked me questions about myself and my qualifications. After that, I met with someone higher up who asked me similar questions.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Are you interested in this role?
- What is your earliest start date?
Brand Marketing Assistant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and chill, though they got a bit hesitant when I brought up whether the job was commission or salary-based. They explained that you'd earn commission first, and that would then decide if a promotion was considered necessary. This sounded a bit far-fetched, and I suspect I'm not the only one who's thought so.
- Is it simpler to retain a current employee or recruit a new one?
Business Analyst
Basic interview questions were asked like tell me about yourself, what do you do for fun, and why are you leaving your current position. After that, you might have a 1-week evaluation on SSMS.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What do you do for fun?
- Why are you looking to leave your current job?
Communications Coordinator
This company posts fake jobs to get people in to interview for their sales jobs. I applied for a marketing and PR job and drove an hour to an interview where they explained their inside sales scheme. The job description online sounds like you'll be interfacing with the client to do marketing, but actually you'll be cold calling leads, answering sales calls, and following up with recently signed customers for services such as Vivint Smart Home, Verizon Fios, and Inspire energy subscriptions. Their tiered training program feels a little MLM-ish. Preeminent Solutions is the same company, but a split off branch with someone who made it through all the levels and now has their own scheme. "Brand Manager" means outside sales and door to door peddling. "Communications Coordinator" means inside sales. It's not that these are bad jobs for the right person, but as a marketing professional, I feel like I was bait and switched. Big waste of my time. They didn't even interview me one on one. They interviewed me and another candidate at the same time. I think their tactic is that they call in everyone that applies and interviews them in batches. I wish they had explained the job and done that first interview over the phone rather than having me dress up and drive out there. They have a three part interview process. There's no reason that first interview needed to be in person.
- What are three things that would set you apart from other candidates?
