This company posts fake jobs to get people in to interview for their sales jobs. I applied for a marketing and PR job and drove an hour to an interview where they explained their inside sales scheme. The job description online sounds like you'll be interfacing with the client to do marketing, but actually you'll be cold calling leads, answering sales calls, and following up with recently signed customers for services such as Vivint Smart Home, Verizon Fios, and Inspire energy subscriptions. Their tiered training program feels a little MLM-ish. Preeminent Solutions is the same company, but a split off branch with someone who made it through all the levels and now has their own scheme. "Brand Manager" means outside sales and door to door peddling. "Communications Coordinator" means inside sales. It's not that these are bad jobs for the right person, but as a marketing professional, I feel like I was bait and switched. Big waste of my time. They didn't even interview me one on one. They interviewed me and another candidate at the same time. I think their tactic is that they call in everyone that applies and interviews them in batches. I wish they had explained the job and done that first interview over the phone rather than having me dress up and drive out there. They have a three part interview process. There's no reason that first interview needed to be in person.

The interview process kicked off with a relaxed first round. It was a brief 20-minute chat focused on getting acquainted on a general level. I felt super comfortable throughout and it was almost like just talking with a friend. I was asked back for a second interview right away, so hoping that goes well!

The process took three days, and honestly, it was a really bad experience. They ended up wasting my time and money. They talked a lot of nonsense. I specifically asked if the role was commission-based, and they said it was a management position. Then they had me come in for two consecutive days, and it was all just crap. I have a master's degree, and the hiring manager was asking me when I finished high school and what I learned there. It's obvious that someone with a university degree has completed high school. All of it was just crap.
