Product Designer
The interview process was very organized and clear about what to expect at each step. It started with an HR screening call, then an introductory onsite meeting with the Director of Product Design and a Senior Product Designer. After that, there was a home assignment, followed by a presentation of the assignment to the VP of Design and the Director of Product Design. Even though I didn't move forward, I was really impressed by the assignment's professional depth and how much they seemed to genuinely care about my approach and thought process, asking really good follow-up questions. It was a valuable experience.
- Could you explain the research sources you utilized for the home assignment and the rationale behind choosing them?
Full Stack Developer
The interview process involved an initial HR screening, followed by a 90-minute interview with two developers. After that, there was an interview with the team lead, then the group manager, and finally another HR interview. Unfortunately, I didn't make it past the first technical interview. The interviewers were really nice, professional, and treated me with respect, making the conversation feel more like a collaboration than a high-pressure situation. I appreciated the respectful treatment throughout, which isn't always my experience. I'd be glad to interview with them again.
- Could you complete a coding task that assesses both your frontend and backend development capabilities?
Enterprise Account Manager
My interview with Riskified was a bummer. The assessment was only 30 minutes, which didn't feel like enough time for someone not super familiar with their platform. The interviewer explained the process, but the assessment itself wasn't super clear or well-contextualized. Honestly, the interaction felt pretty bad, like I was being undervalued. The interviewer straight up said they didn't want to 'waste my time' and hinted that other candidates were a better fit. It came off as rude and dismissive, not helpful. It really left a bad taste. I guess you could tell what kind of leader they'd be. I hope Riskified can make their interview process clearer and make sure candidates feel respected, even if they aren't the right fit.

Software Engineer
So, I had a really rough time with this company's hiring process. I made it through all the interviews the first time, and they rejected me because they picked someone else, which was fine. But then, a few weeks later, they contacted me again for a similar role and asked if I still wanted to do the interviews. I did another interview, and I passed that one too, even though I'd already been through it. Then they asked for references. After that, I was left waiting forever for a decision, and they kept saying I'd hear back 'tomorrow,' but nothing happened. It felt like they were stalling, probably waiting to see if another candidate would accept, just like the first time. When they finally replied, right before a holiday, they said there were 'red flags' from the reference check. But my reference told me they gave really positive feedback, the complete opposite of what the company claimed. I really trust my reference, so it didn't make sense why they'd call me back and ask for references if they were still considering other people. The whole thing was just annoying and unprofessional, with lots of delays, broken promises, and bad communication.
