My interview with Riskified was a bummer. The assessment was only 30 minutes, which didn't feel like enough time for someone not super familiar with their platform. The interviewer explained the process, but the assessment itself wasn't super clear or well-contextualized. Honestly, the interaction felt pretty bad, like I was being undervalued. The interviewer straight up said they didn't want to 'waste my time' and hinted that other candidates were a better fit. It came off as rude and dismissive, not helpful. It really left a bad taste. I guess you could tell what kind of leader they'd be. I hope Riskified can make their interview process clearer and make sure candidates feel respected, even if they aren't the right fit.

The interview process was super efficient. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally from start to finish. Overall, it was a really positive experience and made me feel confident about how organized and detail-oriented the company is.

I was contacted on LinkedIn for an interview, though I wasn't actively looking. The recruiter had to reschedule the first interview around the holidays, which was fine. When the rescheduled time came, there was no call. I checked my email and saw she had to reschedule AGAIN. I asked what a good time would be, and after 3 days with no response, I just booked a time on her calendar. This interview, once it happened, was straightforward and to the point. They moved me onto the next interview. The next interview was with a director. Before the 15-minute call, they sent a small task involving looking at data and answering questions. While I do this daily, the task was confusing and poorly worded, especially for someone new to riskified. During the interview, the director started with typical questions, which went well as my experience matched their needs. Then we moved to the exercise, which was a poor experience. He started by saying it's confusing for many, and he'd explain it. It still wasn't clear, but we tried to discuss it. After I didn't grasp the exact question, he finally explained the answer and ended the interview. The question could have been asked simply, as it's something I discuss with clients daily, but it seems they base candidates on this EASY question that's worded and explained to make it difficult. I even mentioned at the end that it's a simple question, but the wording makes you overthink it, especially without prior knowledge of riskified.
