Went through 6 zoom or phone calls, which is pretty standard these days. The recruiter was amazing, super responsive and helpful with context about the people I'd be meeting. They were flexible too, and I never felt misled. The hiring manager was also available for questions, which was great. So it was two calls with the recruiter, one with the hiring manager, one with a director, one with HR, and one with a teammate. There was also a take-home coding test. The recruiter followed up several times after the interviews for logistics. The technical interviewers seemed engaged. The HR interview focused on culture fit, which is key for remote work. My questions got honest answers, and I felt like an equal in negotiations. Overall, a fantastic experience.

A recruiter contacted me and then I was given a take-home assignment to finish. It took me more than an hour to finish the assignment. I really dislike when companies give out assignments like this; it feels like an exploitative and unpaid way to take advantage of people who are desperately looking for jobs. Apparently, they weren't impressed with my performance on the assignment, and I didn't move forward after that stage.

Riskified managed a really smooth and fast interview process, and they were super clear about everything. It took about two weeks, with a few separate interviews. I talked to a senior team member, the team lead, the department director, and HR. They really dug into my technical abilities through different tests, like an on-call technical challenge, a take-home assignment, and a presentation.
