First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Renault Group.
Intern
The first interview is a standard HR call, where they ask about your technical skills and why you're interested in the role, lasting about 20 minutes. The second interview is where they get to know you as a person, lasting 50 minutes, which was the longest I've had so far. They ask about everything, from your hobbies, favorite artists, and music to your experiences. For those just starting out: They don't mind revisiting points about things you failed at just 10 minutes ago, so don't lie if you're forgetful. They didn't directly ask why I left previous jobs, but they tried to steer the conversation towards it with questions like 'and why the change of area?'
- How would you act in that specific scenario?
- What's your take on dealing with [external entity relevant to the job, e.g., unions]?
- What specifically drew you to this job or field?
Engineering Intern
They called me for a chat via LinkedIn. It was an intern interviewing an intern, like an interactive dynamic. They call you for several openings and opportunities within the company, hoping you fit in somewhere. After the interview with the intern, there's an interview with the managers, they don't know how to proceed with the process.

Accounting Assistant
The recruiter will start by introducing the company, the job, and the context. Then, you'll present yourself: your background, experiences, skills, and motivations. The recruiter will ask you questions about your CV, experiences, technical skills, and soft skills. There might be an optional practical exercise or test, like technical exercises, case studies, or personality/logic tests. We'll then discuss the job itself: its missions, work environment, and what's expected. It's always a good idea to ask some relevant questions about the team, career development, or company values. Finally, the recruiter will explain the next steps in the process and the timeline for a response.

Production Operator
The selection process involves a screwing and dexterity test; there are 3 tests you need to complete within a set time. If you pass these, you move to the second stage, which is a medical examination. If you pass that, they'll call you and offer you the job. Once the contract is signed, you'll have a week of training, followed by a one-month probationary period.
