First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Renault Group.
Project Leader
The interview was super organized and professional. The person interviewing me knew their stuff and asked some really good questions that let me show off what I can do. They asked both technical and behavioral questions.
- What are your expectations for your first day on the job?
Project Manager
I went through several interviews with different managers in Guyancourt, and also had to take a TOEFL test in Plessis Robinson. Even though all the managers seemed to like me and sent an email saying they approved my application, and I got a good score on the TOEFL, the final interview with an HR consultant didn't go well. For me, that interview was pretty standard, just the usual questions like 'what do you want to do in X years?'. It really struck me as odd that a strong candidate approved by senior management wouldn't get hired after a short 20-minute chat with a junior HR person. I tried to get a reason from the HR director, but he was impossible to reach. Funny enough, he called me months later offering the same job. Super unprofessional.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Project Manager
First contact via phone call, then exchanged emails, followed by a double in-person interview on-site. Started with HR for initial screening, then progressed to a more in-depth discussion with the HR plus the manager. Covered managerial and then technical aspects. Initial questions focused on company knowledge and product understanding. Then explored managerial soft skills followed by hard skills in project management.
- How do you manage project planning?
