First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Regeneron.
Process Development Engineer
So first there was an HR Screening, then I had a one-on-one video call with the hiring manager. After that, it was panel interviews with 8 people, each for a half hour. I've interviewed for two positions and made it to this stage. Whether the panel interviews are onsite or virtual depends on the hiring manager's preferences and timing. The panels include the hiring manager, senior leadership in the open position's hierarchy, and people who would work closely with the candidate.
- Tell me about an accomplishment you're proud of.
Manufacturing Technician
After the initial screening call, there was a call with the hiring manager. They provided specific details about the job opening after the screening, making the interview process straightforward. While the process itself wasn't overly lengthy, the final decision took some time to be communicated, and there wasn't a formal rejection notice.
- Tell me about yourself or other general behavioral questions.
- Can you discuss your experience as listed on your resume?
Scientist
I went onsite for an interview and I really enjoyed my day, with 1:1 interviews with at least 10 team members. Great people, however I felt the energy was off. I was very excited about the position and showed huge enthusiasm however may be it's just current market situation I felt no one in the team (including HM) really showed any excitement and explained why I should join their team and choose to build my career with that particular team versus any other company in USA. Also the compensation is average and probably below par considering the location of the company.
- What makes you want to join our company?
- Describe your working style.
- How do you approach teamwork and collaboration?
Director
I had a screening interview with HR and then a 20-minute chat with the hiring manager, where I found out they were looking for someone with more experience than I had in that specific area. I thought that would be it, but they contacted me again and invited me to continue with the interview process. This involved meeting individually with 10 people from the company and then giving a 40-minute presentation to a panel of 5 individuals, followed by a Q&A. A week after they said they'd get back to me, the recruiter called to let me know I didn't get the job. I appreciated that they called instead of just emailing, especially given the time and effort I put in. I saw the job was posted again on LinkedIn, so it seems they haven't found their ideal candidate yet. I think they should probably adjust their process and only move candidates to the presentation stage if they genuinely meet all the essential requirements, as preparing that presentation takes a lot of time and energy, especially when working full-time and managing family responsibilities. There's no point in putting people through that unless they truly meet the key qualifications for the role. This would also save the hiring team time. I'd only consider interviewing with them again if I was very sure from my conversations with HR and the hiring manager that my background and skills were an exact fit for the position, because otherwise it feels like a waste of my time.
