First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Redis.
Software Engineer
Had a screening call, then a behavioural interview, a coding test, and finally an infrastructure interview. All the questions seemed quite easy and straightforward. After getting really good feedback, and hearing something that sounded like an offer was coming after the last interview, they just went silent. I reached out to one recruiter I spoke with at Redis a week after the final interview, and then again to another recruiter a week after that. Both of my emails were ignored. It's pretty wild that after 4 separate calls, I couldn't even get a simple rejection email.

Consultant Engineer
The interview process was quite enjoyable and offered a lot of learning opportunities, particularly during the technical assessment. It didn't require extensive prior preparation, just a good grasp of the fundamentals. The conversation with the hiring manager was also very informative. The recruiter was communicative and kept me in the loop. I had to withdraw my application mid-process due to company budget constraints, as they were only hiring for entry-level roles. This might mean they are equating years of experience with current leveling. It seems like a great opportunity for some, but perhaps less so for experienced professionals. I'll definitely monitor their careers page as this is a top-tier company in the database space.

Senior Support Engineer
So, I got a message on LinkedIn from a Redis TA rep, and I replied pretty quick with my resume and number. Then like a week went by, no response. I finally got a call late, around 5 PM IST while I was traveling. I asked them to call back at 6:30 PM, but nope. Tried calling them back, no answer. Called again at 7 PM, was told they'd call back. Nothing for another week. Then the TA team called, we chatted, and set up a call for Monday at 12 PM IST. Come Monday, no meeting link. I emailed and called, still nothing. It was super stressful. The next day, Heidi thankfully stepped in and set up the call, which went fine. After that, a take-home test was scheduled for the next Monday. I took a day off to focus on it. Again, no email, no instructions, no link. I messaged at 10 AM and then again an hour later, asking if it was being rescheduled. Eventually, I got a response. I did the test and submitted it on time. The interviewer said I'd hear back in a day or two. It's been 20 days and still nothing. Just to be clear, this isn't about Heidi, she was great. This is about the overall experience with the Indian TA and hiring team. I know hiring can be tough, but the constant lack of communication, last-minute stuff, and not respecting my time is just disappointing, especially since they reached out first. I really expected more.
