First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ramboll.
Chapter Lead
The interview was conducted online. The first hiring manager was located in Esbjerg. They asked about my experience but didn't clearly explain the role's responsibilities. The next round was with a senior hiring manager in Switzerland who seemed a bit frustrated. They only asked about my family. After a few days, I received an email stating that hiring had been put on hold.
- Could you tell me what your understanding of Ramboll is?
Full Stack Developer
First day is about getting to know us and testing your skills. We'll have a pre-placement talk to tell you about the company and jobs. Then, an aptitude test to see how well you can think and solve problems. If you pass that, you'll do a practical assessment to show us what you can do with hands-on tasks. Day two is your personal interviews, where we'll dive into your technical skills and also check out your soft skills. On day three, if you're shortlisted, you might get to chat with the team, which is a good chance for you to see how we work and ask us anything you want.
- Can you tell us about the projects you've worked on?
- What was your specific role in those projects?
- In what domain did those projects fall?
Land Contamination Consultant
After submitting an application, I had a video interview where they asked about 10 questions related to competency, my driving license, and so on. Following that, there was an assessment centre in Birmingham. This involved presentations, a map task where I had to highlight potential contaminated land, and then an individual interview about my experience with land contamination and my reasons for wanting to work at Ramboll.
- Could you tell me about any land contamination events you've observed in the news?
- What steps do you take to be sustainable?
- Can you describe any relevant fieldwork you've undertaken, such as sample collection and analysis?
Consultant
I interviewed with Ramboll back in October 2024. The process had two stages: first, I spoke with the team, and then I had a second chat with the Head of Department. It was pretty straightforward, mostly focusing on my work experience and skills. I was asked one technical question in total. The HR team was really nice to work with – super responsive, attentive, and friendly. Talking to the team and the HOD was great too. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
- Could you describe the process unit description for a specific technology?
