Graduate Engineer
After submitting my application online, I had a quick screening call where a team member asked me some questions. The final stage was an assessment centre, which included group activities and my individual interview. It was a really great day, and I enjoyed talking to the staff there.
- Could you tell me about your CV during this call?
Graduate Engineer
It started with a long online application that let me showcase my abilities. Then, I got a short 15-minute phone interview (only the top 10% made it) with about 3 questions focused on the offshore wind sector. Next, I was invited to an assessment center day in London with 25 other people. The atmosphere was really friendly, with some fun group activities and a generally relaxed vibe. However, the one-on-one interview there was quite brief, only 30 minutes, which felt short. They said they'd let us know about next steps the following week. I didn't hear back even after emailing for an update 3 weeks later because I had another offer and needed clarity. I finally got a response almost 3 weeks after that, though I know it was around the Christmas and New Year period. So, while the interview itself was good, the follow-up wasn't ideal, and I'm still waiting for travel expense reimbursement, which they said would be within 2 weeks.
- Could you discuss your master's project?
- Do you favor collaborative or solo work?
- Tell me about a situation where teamwork faltered and your resolution.
Graduate Engineer
There was a 10 mins written technical test with basic questions about drawing shear and moment diagrams. Also, some general competency questions and questions about what I learned in uni. Didn’t do well on the test, recommend reviewing the basics before the interview.
- What is your motivation for choosing Ramboll?
- Could you elaborate on your academic learning?
- Can you explain how to draw shear and moment diagrams?
