I applied in November and heard back from a recruiter in December for an initial phone screening. The final interview was with the supervisor in January. They really dug into my lab experience, how I handle specimens, and whether I follow procedures. The supervisor also asked some specific questions about my college program to see if it was a good fit. After that, they took several weeks to review my application before making a final decision. Even though I didn't get the job, the whole process felt pretty organized and clear.

The interview was really easygoing and welcoming. You check in at the front desk, and someone comes to get you pretty quickly. It's in an office with three interviewers who ask questions one by one. They all have your resume and go through about two pages of questions, taking notes. The interview itself takes about 20-30 minutes. After, they give you a tour of the place, which was a nice touch. Everyone was super friendly and professional. Just be ready, look over your resume before, and you'll do great.

We had a brief interview with some pretty in-depth questions. For this, you should get ready by talking about your experience with things like blood typing and cross-matching. Also, explain how you make sure everything is safe and follows the rules, and what you do when you face tough problems, like when there aren't enough supplies or if donors are difficult. Use the STAR method for those behavioral questions.

I went to an open house at a local Quest Diagnostics branch. When I got there, they said there weren't any openings at that location, only at places far away. I felt like I was misled because I only went to that specific open house because it was a reasonable distance for me to drive. They should have been clearer about where the jobs they were hiring for were located. Two managers told me to apply online. It was a total waste of my time to go to the open house.
