Financial Analyst
So the whole thing started with a quick chat with HR just to get the basics down. After that, the hiring manager liked what they saw and wanted me to come in for a full day interview. During the onsite, I met with three different people, including the manager. They all asked pretty standard questions and were all really nice and made it easy to talk. Then, I had phone calls with two more senior execs who mainly wanted to see if I would fit in well with the company culture. A few days later, they gave me an offer. It was a really good offer, actually, but I ended up turning it down because my current job gave me a counteroffer I couldn't refuse.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- Can you describe a time you faced a challenge and how you handled it?
- Please walk me through a process you use in your current job.
Financial Analyst
I interviewed with two managers for this senior analyst role. For anyone interviewing here, make sure you know the company well and can talk about the current healthcare environment and how Quest will be impacted. Also, be sure you're solid on basic financial concepts like ROE, ROI, Leverage, etc. The interviewers were open and professional. I got the sense they run a very lean operation (meaning understaffed, underpaid, and overworked), which makes sense given their thin margins.
- What are some ways to improve a company's Return on Equity?
- Regarding opening a foreign subsidiary, where should the control of funding be located?
- Should a foreign subsidiary be allowed to fund itself, or should funding be centralized, and why?
Financial Analyst Intern
The interview process is very simple and casual, mainly to get to know the hiring manager. They'll ask general questions to understand what you bring to the company and what makes you stand out.
- Could you tell me about yourself and your Finance background?
- How did you discover this job opportunity?
