The interview process had just two stages. First was a screening, followed by an Excel and SQL test. They asked questions about Vlookup, index match, Sumifs, and Countifs. For SQL, they asked for top1 with name and salary, and how to sum two tables without using a join.
- They asked me if I was proficient in Excel, given that the role primarily involves using Excel.
- They asked about my knowledge of Vlookup.
- They asked about my knowledge of index match.
Front End Developer
The interview involved two rounds. The first was in-person and covered fundamental JavaScript concepts, Hooks, a detailed discussion on Use Effect, and the differences between functional and non-functional aspects. It also touched on advanced React, CSS3, SCSS, Hoisting, Promises, Redux, Thunk, Saga, Interfaces, and Generics. The second round was a design challenge: create a traffic light simulation with specific timings for red (5s), yellow (3s), and green (4s) lights.
- Could you elaborate on fundamental JavaScript concepts?
- What are your thoughts on Hooks?
- Can we dive deeper into the usage and behavior of Use Effect?
Sales Executive
I was invited for an interview on December 22nd, 2022. The next day, I went for the interview and met HR Palak. She asked me several questions about myself, my interests, and how I approached Policybazaar.com. Then, she told me to wait outside to see if I was selected. After 10-15 minutes, HR Palak came out and asked me to go to the manager's cabin. The manager asked me how I used to celebrate my birthday. I answered that I used to do some charity and spend time in a temple. After that, he asked me to wait outside again. After another 10 minutes, HR Palak invited me back into her cabin and informed me that I was selected and handed me an offer letter.
- Can you describe how you typically celebrate your birthday?
