My interview experience was truly terrible. The recruiter missed our initial call and never followed up. I had to reschedule via Calendly. He then said I'd interview with the hiring manager that week, but cancelled last minute because the manager was traveling. Rescheduling was a nightmare; the recruiter was unresponsive until I put time on his calendar, and he kept messing up time zones. I only got things scheduled when I CC'd the person I was supposed to speak with. My first call was with a nice person, and the hiring manager seemed positive despite being on the phone outside a casino. The last person I spoke with mostly talked about herself and how great her team was, and didn't seem very interested in me, but still said I was great. Despite positive feedback, I was rejected. The recruiter lied about the reason, claiming they wanted experience in the field, even though nobody on the team had it. The recruiter's final email saying 'let's stay in touch' was the icing on the cake, given his poor communication throughout. It was an insulting and overall horrible experience.

A pretty straightforward 4 step interview process. The whole thing took about a month from when I applied. First, there was a recruiter call, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by a product demonstration, and finally an on-site meeting with the team. Even though I didn't get the offer, I have to give props to the recruiter, Rob, and Pluralsight's policy of providing a follow-up feedback session with notes from the hiring manager. This feedback included constructive suggestions for my application, which I've never experienced before. It was incredibly helpful. The hiring manager was also genuinely friendly, engaged, and interactive during the interviews and the product demonstration.

The hiring process started with a recruiter screening, followed quickly by a hiring manager interview. Things seemed positive after that, but then communication from the recruiter basically stopped. I tried reaching out many times through email and phone, leaving voicemails, but got no real answers. My emails were opened, but ignored. I'd get vague promises about updates 'tomorrow' that never happened. Weeks passed with no real update. It was frustrating because I was pushed into interviews quickly, then left in silence, which felt like a waste of my time. The feedback was also confusing, going from positive to complete silence. The recruiter seemed unprofessional and didn't take responsibility. The process just ended without any clear outcome, no explanation either way.
- Can you tell me about yourself?

The interview process was awesome. It was simple and straight to the point. From initial reach-out from recruiter, to recruiter phone screen, to both interviews, to receiving and accepting the offer took 14 days. Communication was clean. The interviews were enjoyable. They all came into the interview having internalized my resume/LinkedIn, meaning they didn't ask "tell me about __ on your resume". We joked, they asked detailed questions and really showed they were as interested in me as I was interested in them/Pluralsight. This is one of the 3 key factors that sold me on Pluralsight.
