I had an initial recruiter call, then a virtual interview with the hiring manager(s), and finally, I interviewed with the VP of Customer Success. The first two interviews went well, and I felt Pluralsight was a good fit. The conversation with the VP was going well, and we discussed three scenario questions for about 10 minutes of a 30-minute session. I then asked her about her background at Pluralsight and her thoughts on the company's biggest opportunity in the next 6-12 months. As I was about to ask another question, she ended the call abruptly. I'm unsure why this happened, but I suspect it might be related to a prior compensation discussion with the recruiter, even though I was transparent about my expectations and their lack of negotiation room wasn't a dealbreaker. While the first two interviews were enjoyable, the final one left a negative impression, making my overall experience neutral. I think it would be better for both parties if Pluralsight communicated upfront if a candidate is just being interviewed as a formality, given the current job market. I believe Pluralsight has a great platform, and while they're in a rebuilding phase, empathy should be applied from both sides, remembering that candidates are also facing challenges in the job market.

The interview process was super clear, fast, and efficient. Everyone involved, from the interviewers to the team helping with feedback and scheduling, was awesome and really encouraging. It was always easy to know where I stood in the process, and it didn't take forever.

My interview experience started promisingly with a screen call and a subsequent interview that I felt went very well. I was even told I'd proceed to the next stage. However, after that, I was ghosted for 18 days, with a follow-up email also going unanswered for six days. I was then told they'd be in touch by the end of the week, which didn't happen. On the 18th day, I learned they hired internally, despite me being told initially that it was a new team seeking external experience. While Pluralsight seems exciting, this interview process was very disappointing for someone at a mid to senior level.
