First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Party City.
Sales Associate
The interview process involved an initial recruiter call followed by a phone screen where we discussed my experience and approach to client management, including upselling, retention, organization, and collaboration. We also touched on the qualifications and nature of a client coordinator role.
- Tell me about your biggest success in coordinating clients.
- How do you try to upsell or cross-sell current clients on new offerings?
- What are your methods for keeping clients from leaving?
Marketing Coordinator
The interview process was very clear. The interview lasted about 30 minutes and provided me with much detail about the job posting. The job description was not super clear, so it was nice to get clarity during the process. I sent a follow-up email but never heard back after two weeks.
- What are your strengths for this role?
Senior Manager, Benefits
I had several team interviews that went well, and the recruiter was responsive. Then, I was asked to come in person for an interview. After this interview, I never heard back from the recruiter, even though I reached out. I thought this was very unprofessional because they could have just let me know I wasn't selected.
- What motivated you to apply for this job?
Cashier
It was a pretty straightforward interview process with simple questions. You just need to show you're motivated, and it's not hard to get hired. I was asked if I had prior experience as an associate, but since it was my first job, I didn't. The manager who conducted the interview was apparently not great and didn't handle the questioning well.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience or any relevant skills you possess?
- Were you previously employed as an associate?
