First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at OYO.
Senior Manager
It's a quick process, very data-heavy and case-driven. You'll need to show revenue ownership, problem-solving skills, how you manage stakeholders, and how you execute under pressure. They go deep, ask tough follow-ups, and have high standards. You'll face business cases, leadership scenarios, and culture fit questions. They want to see your bias for action, how you deal with ambiguity, and if you can scale things fast.
- Can you discuss your past work experience and what your responsibilities were?
Revenue Manager
The interview focused on verbal communication and real-life property-related issues. They asked about onboarding properties, handling property owners, and why I'd be a good fit for the sales role. They also inquired about my future aspirations and my availability to dedicate maximum time to the company.
- What are your strategies for handling property owners?
- How would you manage the process of onboarding a new property?
- Describe your approach to dealing with property owners.
Data Analyst
It's a multi-stage interview process. First, there's an online coding test with multiple-choice questions and some coding problems. After that, you'll have technical interview rounds. These technical rounds dive into data structures and algorithms (DSA), core computer science stuff like DBMS and OS, and sometimes they might ask about system design or talk about your past projects. It's pretty competitive, so make sure you're solid on DSA and the main computer science subjects.
- Solve DSA problems on arrays.
- Solve DSA problems on strings.
- Solve a DP problem.
Brand Executive
After you apply, HR will screen your resume to see if you meet the basic requirements. Then, there's usually a quick chat with HR, either by phone or video, to go over your background, why you're interested, what you're looking for salary-wise, and when you can start. Next, you might have one or more technical or functional interviews where they'll check your knowledge, how you solve problems, and your skills. After that, a manager or senior person on the team will interview you to see if you fit with the team's goals, how you work, and if you'd be a good cultural fit. If everything looks good, you'll have a final chat with HR about pay, company policies, when you'd start, and what happens next. If you get the job, they'll send you an offer letter and tell you what documents you need.
