I applied through a popular internship portal and got a call from HR. Then I was called to their Pune headquarters for an HR round. After clearing that, I met the business development head at OYO Rooms in Pune. They explained that I would need to survey areas to count hotel rooms. A monthly stipend would be provided, and I'd need to report to the office daily from 9 a.m. to evening. The role mainly involves onboarding and acquiring new hotels.

There was no waiting area for candidates. The interview process involved meeting random people who seemed disinterested and focused more on talking than listening. They considered someone with barely a year at OYO a 'senior resource'. Teammates seemed unaware of each other's roles. I lost interest early on and intentionally gave wrong answers to get rejected rather than work for a manager I found foolish. They don't provide feedback. Given this HR approach, one can only imagine the company culture.
