Instructional Designer
The process was pretty straightforward. It began with a recruiter phone call, followed by a video chat with the hiring manager. After that, there was a video call with the rest of the team. The final stage was a technical interview that included a take-home assignment, which was then presented to the same team I had spoken with earlier. The recruiter was great and kept me informed, answering questions quickly and clearly. Everyone I interviewed with was really nice and easy to talk to, making me feel respected as a candidate.

Software Engineer
The first round was focused on LLD, where I had to design a coffee vending machine that could handle add-ons, keep track of inventory, and process payments. I managed to implement all the requirements within the 60 minutes, although the problem was complex and probably needed 90 minutes. They extended the interview to 90 minutes and threw in some HLD questions. Even though I met all the requirements and handled the extra stuff, they rejected me without any feedback, which was pretty disappointing given the interviewer's unprofessional and dismissive attitude. I definitely wouldn't apply here again.
- Can you design a coffee vending machine that allows for add-on selections, manages inventory, and processes payments?
Product Marketing Manager
The interview loop had six stages: a recruiter chat, a hiring manager interview, an interview with a senior PMM, a chat with a product manager, a take-home assignment, and a final panel presentation. I backed out after the assignment because it was too much. They wanted the full presentation deck upfront, but I was planning to present a shorter deck with detailed speaker notes. It felt like a lot for a mid-level job, and the team vibe I got wasn't great. Honestly, if a company needs six rounds and a ton of prep for a mid-level marketing hire, I think they're still figuring out what they need instead of properly assessing if someone fits.

Account Manager
Went through a 5-stage interview process, made it to the final stage which involved a presentation. Got positive feedback throughout and felt good about the role. Put a lot of effort into the final presentation. But ended up getting rejected with almost no useful feedback. The recruiter said I presented well but didn't look enough into competitors, which wasn't clear earlier. Felt disheartening to be rejected for one thing after so much work. The feedback call was super short and unhelpful, could have just been an email. After five stages, I expected better feedback or a clearer process. Interviewers were professional, but the process felt too long, unrealistic, and discouraging. Hope OpenTable makes it simpler and gives better feedback to candidates who put in so much time.
