Data Analyst
I got a recruitment task, did it, and sent it in. Then they emailed me saying they rejected me based on their review. I asked for feedback since I had spent some time on it, but no reply. It's weird because they didn’t even access my GitHub folder with the solution. Maybe they never reviewed my task in the first place. I wouldn’t be surprised. Which is fine, maybe they hired someone else, but at least be honest. I do NOT recommend this company if you value your time.
- Could you query some data, analyze it, create graphs, and write two reports for a recruitment task?
Data Head
It started with a chat with the recruiting manager, mostly checking my CV, skills, and if I’d be a good fit. They also talked up the role and company. Next up was a case study I had a few days to work on. After that, I had a presentation interview, also with a few days to prep, where I shared about a past project. Then came a 'values' interview, where they asked about specific situations to see how I aligned with the company's values. The last step was an interview with the CEO, which was more of a casual chat about cultural fit. Except for the first and last interviews, the others were panel interviews with 3-4 people from different departments like Data, Product, Engineering, and Partner Success, at both peer and higher levels.
- Can you share an instance where you had to work across different parts of an organization to reach a goal?
Partnerships Manager
The interview process was pretty quick compared to other tech companies. First, I had an interview with the hiring manager. Then, I had to complete a task. Finally, there was an interview with a senior manager. I felt good about the first interview and connected well with the hiring manager. For the second interview, I was asked to create a 30-60-90 day plan, which I did. This interview happened two weeks after the first. After that, I waited 3.5 weeks, and had to follow up multiple times with the hiring manager about my status. Ultimately, they informed me they wouldn't be moving me forward to the final round. I found the long waiting period after the interview unacceptable.
- How does your background align with the requirements of this position?
UX Graduate
Still ongoing. I've done the online assessment and video interview already, and I'm waiting to hear back about what's next. Just wanted to share the video interview questions I got to help others out. The online assessment was really bad, honestly. It wasn't the typical math and non-verbal stuff, but situational tests. Some questions felt like there wasn't a good answer, making it feel like a lose-lose situation. It was super stressful and I don't think it really shows who someone is. The video interview had 7 questions, with a practice one at the beginning. You can retake each question once.
- Can you share an instance where attentive listening and asking questions led you to a solution?
- Describe a time you needed to earn someone's or a group's trust. What steps did you take?
- Tell me about a situation where you introduced a new method that boosted quality and efficiency, even though it meant changing your own work habits significantly.
