I had a motivational and competency based phone interview with three team members in January. It was hard to tell how I had done at this stage but a few weeks later I was invited to an Assessment day. The Assessment day had 3x45 minute interviews. The first interview was motivational and CV based with three team members (1 senior, 2 junior), and it felt casual and personal. The second interview was motivational and CV based with the Director. The third interview was a case study followed by a casual chat with 1 mid-level seniority and 2 junior staff. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions throughout the process.

This role had 4 interviews with people of different seniority levels. The interviews focused a lot on motivation, corporate finance, how to value a firm, how to assess market size, and how to deal with clients. They also really cared about your objectives within the firm.

Went through 3 phone interviews initially. First was with HR, then two phone case studies with different interviewers. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview at their NYC office. The in-person day included standard fit interviews, a one-on-one case study, and a presentation based on a pre-assigned case. Overall, it was a really positive experience; the people were all friendly.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation
The interview process kicked off with a 30-minute behavioral interview on campus. About a week later, I was invited for an on-site interview. Before the on-site, I had to prepare a 30-minute case presentation. The on-site itself was well-organized and not too stressful, including two behavioral interviews, my case presentation, and an on-the-spot case study, followed by lunch. I noticed my case interviewer was distracted by emails and the computer, and one director seemed disengaged. Two weeks post-on-site, an HR coordinator contacted me about interest in other offices. I confirmed my interest, and she promised to follow up the next business day. However, after multiple attempts to reach out, I didn't hear back for a full month. Finally, HR called and offered me a position in a location I had explicitly stated I wasn't interested in. The overall experience was disappointing, and I'd advise others against applying to Navigant.
