It was pretty informal. Practice groups have a lot of autonomy in how they interview, which gives you a real feel for the work culture. My hiring manager was actually pretty reasonable and laid-back, making the whole thing quite relaxed. I suspect they were sold on me before I was sold on them, which might have played a part.

The interview process was very disorganized. The itinerary I received was incorrect, and I ended up speaking with different people than initially planned. All four interviewers were late for their scheduled times. One interviewer seemed completely uninterested, almost hostile, and admitted that their current solutions require significant improvement and that employee retention is low. I left the interview with no desire to work there. My recommendation is to avoid this company.

I had a few phone interviews, then a face-to-face interview where they really wanted to dig into specifics about the division and business unit I'd be joining. They also asked about who I'd report to and what the performance expectations were.
