Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Navigant.
Analyst
We had a meet & greet the night before with some friendly recruiters. After the interview, they said they'd get back to us in a week, but it took two months to hear anything. I reached out and they said there were no interview slots available. I asked if I was on a waitlist but never heard back.
- The consultants listed 4 qualities they value, and I was asked to share a time I exemplified each of them.
- Can you describe a time you demonstrated strong communication skills?
- Give an example of a time you worked effectively in a team.
Analyst
I was contacted one day prior to the interview that the company was interested in my experience. I was given less than 24 hours to prepare for the interview. When I arrived I was escorted into a room of three current analysts/consultants who were young, new hires. This was very informal. For the next portion of the interview, I was ushered into another room where the senior consultant asked standard interview questions. Finally, I was interviewed by the leaving analyst. This was as informal as the first round.
- Given that this isn't your ultimate career goal, where do you envision yourself heading in the future?
Summer Analyst
I applied through my university and was invited for an on-campus interview. It was about a 30 minute discussion about my resume and the duties of a summer intern. The intern interview felt like it went really well and my interviewer was easy to talk to.
- Tell me about a time you found it challenging to work in a team, and what steps did you take to resolve it?
