First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MIGSO-PCUBED.
Project Engineer
I applied via LinkedIn for a position at a well-known company in Varese. The process had three stages: an initial chat, a technical interview with the team lead, and a final interview in English with the country manager. It all happened in less than two weeks, and the feedback was super fast. Unfortunately, they told me that although my profile was a great fit, the position I applied for wasn't confirmed by the client. So I said I was open to working for any client in Northern Italy or abroad, but sadly, there were no confirmed projects with other clients. It felt like a waste of time.
- How would you approach Project Management problem-solving, specifically concerning the management of milestones, costs, and timelines?
PMO Analyst
The selection process was appropriate for the position. Since it's for a junior role, the interviews weren't very technical and focused more on finding a cultural fit rather than past experience (as there's very little or none). I asked them to expedite the process, and they really did. They always ask for feedback on the interviews to know your opinion.
- Questions about my profile
Project Controls Team Leader
There were four interviews: The first was with Talent Acquisition, lasting 1 hour by phone, covering typical questions about my background, motivations, and salary expectations. Next, I met the Agency Manager for a 1-hour in-person session. This involved a deeper dive into my experience, motivations, and a presentation of the role and its requirements, focusing on the fit between me and the company. Then, I had a 1-hour meeting with an experienced peer. I had to prepare a situational exercise as a PMO, presenting it for 10-15 minutes as if in a real-world scenario, followed by questions about soft skills and team management. Finally, the Division Director had a 1-hour chat to finalize the job offer, discuss the company's future direction, and confirm the mutual fit.
- How do you handle a conflict situation with a colleague or a client?
Project Manager
After several stages of the process including HR calls, a manager interview, and preparing a technical dossier, I unfortunately didn't get any response. However, someone kept checking my LinkedIn profile weekly for over 2 months. It's a shame because a simple feedback, even if negative, would have shown respect and professionalism. I hope selection practices continue to evolve, as candidates invest time and energy in these processes. It gives a terrible image of how they treat their candidates and employees.
- Are you willing to relocate to a national city or even change countries upon project mission completion?
