First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Madison Square Garden.
Creative Strategist
The interview process had four stages. It started with a recruiter call, then moved on to meetings with different department heads, and concluded with a final interview with an executive. All the interviews felt pretty relaxed, with open-ended questions and a lot of information shared. The whole thing took about two and a half weeks.
- Can you share a time when you faced a client challenge and managed to transform it into a positive outcome?
Manager
It was a pretty easy interview process. It started with a recruiter screening, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by the team lead and one other client. Most of these were over Zoom. I made it to the final round, but then the recruiting team completely ghosted me. I sent several emails asking for updates and feedback, but I never got a direct response from the team. Eventually, I received the standard automated email saying that after careful consideration, they decided to move on. They didn't even have the decency to email me back directly. It felt demoralizing and like a huge waste of my time.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at MSGE?
Executive Assistant
I got referred for the role. The recruiter seemed disinterested and like they were doing me a favor by interviewing me. I didn't put much effort in because I remembered right before the meeting that this company hosted that supremacy rally. It was also mentioned they already had a finalist for the role, and that the job required being in the office 4x a week, which felt old school and put me off.
- Can you tell me how your experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
Call Center Representative
You'll have a Skype interview with the director and department supervisors. There's a chance you might get an offer right away. They also mentioned that if you don't get the full-time role, you could potentially return to a previous position or work events. It seems like most people they bring into the call center have worked here before. If you're not a good fit, they'll ask you to leave.
- Tell me about your phone experience and etiquette.
- Is your availability full-time, five days a week, with at least one weekend day?
- Can you work 9-5, 10-6, or 12-8 EST?
