Sales Associate
it was very simple, just an initial phone screening then a zoom interview, very simple one-on-one conversation between me and the manager of the store i applied to, lasted about 30 min

Social Media Video Editor
I went through 5 interviews and completed a project creating 6 videos for two social platforms over the holidays. I had to follow up multiple times at each stage. The whole process took over 3 months. When I asked why I didn't get the job, I received vague feedback. It's important to note I had to ask for the result after the final interview and project. Then, months later, they reached out again, and I sent my portfolio just before the recruiter went on leave. I contacted the person on the original point of contact's OOO email but got no reply. It's been a long time, and the original recruiter never followed up. It was unprofessional and lacked transparency. It's rough to put job seekers through this, especially for a role paying 77k after this many interviews. It says a lot about the company and the team I interviewed with.
- Can you share your screen and present your top social media video edit?
Copywriter
I applied online for the Copywriter job at Madewell. Everything seemed good at first. The HR rep was great, and she passed my resume to the hiring manager. Typically, you'd interview first and then do a copy test if they liked you. But Madewell had me do a copy test before even talking to anyone on the team, which was pretty unusual. I guess they wanted to make sure they weren't wasting their time. This copy test was really intense, way more than usual. It took about 15 hours because of all the strategy questions, and this was for a copywriter role, not a marketing or editorial one. It felt like they thought it was okay to waste my time for free. So, here's what they asked for...

- Describe your TikTok feed and name your top three creators.

Senior Designer
This was one of the most unusual interviews I've ever been through. A former colleague who works there reached out and gave me some pointers on what to focus on. The interview was solely with HR, but she didn't ask me much about myself. I answered the few standard questions she did ask, and she mentioned she'd email me soon to arrange a call with the hiring manager. She covered all the job specifics, including office location and interview dates, but then I never heard back. I followed up a few times, but there was no response. It was disappointing because this was a company I was really eager to join.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
