Sales Associate
it was very simple, just an initial phone screening then a zoom interview, very simple one-on-one conversation between me and the manager of the store i applied to, lasted about 30 min

- What characteristics define an ideal team environment for you?
Sales Associate
First, they asked about my past retail work, including dealing with difficult customers and my specific approach. They also inquired about my prior duties and my motivation for wanting to join Madewell. A few days after the interview, they contacted me by phone to discuss the offer details.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a difficult customer and describe how you handled it?
- Tell me about your past responsibilities in retail.
- What makes you want to work for Madewell in particular?
Sales Associate
I interviewed at GSP Madewell and they had a whole binder with about 15 questions they read directly from. It felt like it took forever and wasn't really a conversation. They kept asking the same kinds of questions over and over. It wasn't super hard, but it was just way too long and had way too many questions for a part-time job.
- What 3 questions would you ask to understand my personal style?
- How would you create an outfit for me?
- Which stores would you suggest?
