Behavioral Presentation

The recruiter contacted me on Indeed about a Store Manager role with Sunglass Hut, which I was interested in. Then, I got an email to schedule an interview for LensCrafters, which was confusing since the first message was about Sunglass Hut. I asked for clarification and found out it was for LensCrafters at a location far from me. The recruiter blamed a system error, but I suspect it was just a mistake on her part. On the interview day, five minutes before it was supposed to start, I received an email saying they were canceling because they needed someone with specific licensing, which wasn't mentioned in the job description. I didn't see the email until 10 minutes into the scheduled interview time, as I had already joined the Zoom call.

I applied online and then got a phone call that led to an in-person interview. When I arrived, the employees seemed rude and unkempt, and the atmosphere felt like a male-dominated club. My interview was in a cramped, messy back area with space for only two people to sit. The interviewer wasn't prepared and spent a lot of time discussing how people don't show up for their interviews.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started off easy, with two interviews completed. One was with a hiring manager, and the other was with a recruiter. It's been about a month and a half since those, and I haven't heard back, nor do I know if I will have a second interview with a store closer. It's disappointing when companies don't update their applicants.
