First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LensCrafters.
Lab Technician
The interview process took about 2 weeks, mainly involving waiting for background check results and coordinating schedules. It's in two parts. First, you talk to your direct manager. Second, you meet with the General Manager of the store, where you'll find out if you're hired and discuss pay. After that, there's a 3-month trial period. Completing the training and trial period gets you your official name tag and makes you part of the LensCrafters team.
- Can you describe your ability to collaborate within a team?
Lab Technician
I sat down with the lab manager and we talked about my previous experience and how it might fit with this company. It was for a part-time role. It seems like the company really tries to avoid hiring full-time people, based on what others have said. The training period is three months, working about 15-20 hours a week, and after that, it would be 15-30 hours per week.
- How would you manage a heavy workload to make sure the job gets done?
Lab Technician
When I used to interview for this position, I noticed it was hard to get hired without prior lab experience or connections, unless the company was in urgent need. They're looking for someone quick, with good time management, who learns from mistakes, and has strong morals since you'll be working with eyesight and inventory.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a time crunch and explain how you handled it?
