First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Kuehne+Nagel.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process felt pretty standard, not overly tough, but they did take their time with the questions. Mostly, they asked the usual stuff, wanting to know about my background and what makes me tick. It was more of a chat than a technical exam, which let me talk about my history, career path, and why I'm keen on this job.

Dangerous Goods Coordinator
First, you send in your CV and cover letter via the job platform or company site. Often, they'll ask for your certs like IATA DGR Cat. 6, awareness training, lithium battery training, etc. Then, there's a quick 10-20 min HR pre-screen call to see why you're applying, your DG experience, knowledge of IATA/ADR/IMDG, availability, salary expectations, and language skills. The main part is a technical interview with the DG Manager or Operations Manager. You'll get questions on handling DG non-conformities, audit experience (IATA, internal, KAC/PAX), and incident resolution. They'll check your knowledge on IATA DGR 65th edition, UN numbers, lithium batteries PI965/966, Shipper's Declaration, and packaging/marking/labeling. Sometimes a case study is given, like how to handle a lithium battery shipment with PI 965 Section IA. An optional assessment might follow, especially with international companies, which could include a technical DG test, situational judgment test, or accuracy test. Some larger companies have a third interview with higher management like Head of Compliance, Country Manager, or Airfreight Manager, focusing on ownership, training abilities, and communication with customs, airlines, and security. Reference checks are pretty standard for NDGC roles, verifying DG certification, audit experience, and handling of incident reports. Then comes the offer with salary, potential DG/operations bonus, meal/eco-cheques, training budget, and vacation days. A background check and security clearance are sometimes required for air freight roles, including aviation security checks and potentially a medical questionnaire. Finally, onboarding involves mandatory DG training on GDPR, internal procedures, airline SOPs, safety/security, and refresher IATA DGR if needed.

Pricing Analyst
It was a straightforward and easy conversation. I had it in person at the office. Two interviewers were present. We started with introductions, then discussed my experience, the job duties, and what salary I was looking for. They answered all my questions openly. It was a good experience overall.

Sales Associate
The interview starts with a welcome, some small talk, and an introduction to the company. Then, they'll ask about your resume, your experience, and why you're interested in the role. After that, you'll get a chance to ask your own questions. Finally, there will be closing remarks, information on the next steps, feedback, a goodbye, and thank yous.
