The interview process was mainly about figuring out why I wanted to get into sales coming from mechanical engineering and if my interest was real and for the long haul. They asked why I wasn't sticking with mechanical engineering and how my studies could actually help in sales. I told them that even though my degree is mechanical, I found myself more drawn to talking to clients, understanding business, and solving problems from their point of view. Through college stuff, internships, and leading teams, I figured out I like jobs where I get to communicate, persuade, figure out what customers need, and get deals done, which is what sales is all about. I also stressed that my engineering background actually makes me better at sales. Engineering taught me to think logically, really get into the details of products, and explain complicated things simply—all super useful for consultative sales and financial products. The interviewers wanted to know if I had a solid reason for picking sales, if I saw it as a career path, and if my past experiences fit the job, not just a random change.

It was a pretty straightforward interview process. Started with an HR call to chat about the job and what I was looking for. Then, there were a couple of technical rounds where they wanted to see how I handle problems and my knowledge in the field, using real-life examples. The last step was a chat with a manager or maybe a client to check my communication skills and see if I'd be a good fit for the team. Overall, it felt professional and they were checking both my skills and if I'd fit in.

The interview process has 3 rounds: first an aptitude test, then a group discussion, and finally a personal interview. The personal interview is the last step for the Deputy Manager Grade II position. It's a 30-45 minute comprehensive interview with a panel of senior management where they'll ask about your professional background, leadership skills, and if you're a good fit for the job. It's also a chance for you to show what you know about the industry and how you fit with what the company values and wants to achieve.

So , first round was an online assessment which consisted of about 60 questions which needs to be solved in 60 min. And then the second round that's the interview, they asked me many technical terms related to banking but that was only in my panel. Other panels are not the same, they asked about projects and other stuff. So, prepare everything before you go to give the interview. Obviously, luck matters!!!!
