First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HCSS.
HR Intern
The interview process at HCSS was really nice, the people even gave me tips for after college, even though I knew I probably wouldn't get the job. I missed my interview once but rescheduled it. They asked about process improvement and a time I had a commitment with multiple priorities. They also asked about a time I did something with a team, how I delegated responsibilities, what problems I faced, and a time I used preexisting knowledge to complete a task.
- Tell me about a time you juggled multiple priorities.
- Can you share an experience where you worked on a team project?
- Describe how you handled delegating tasks.
Technical Support Analyst
I got an email saying I was moving on to the next steps with the interview, and the platform was Hireflix. It was straightforward, it asked for permission for Video and Audio, then gave me about 15 seconds to think about the question before answering it, with different time limits depending on how hard the question was.
- What about working as a Technical Support Analyst at HCSS excites you?
- Can you explain the difference between customer service and customer support, and what customer service entails?
- How do you see technology being used in your daily life?
Business Development Representative
The process was quite straightforward. It started with a typical screening, followed by two rounds of interviews. Everything was going well until the final interview, which was with the Regional Sales Manager. From the start of the Zoom call, their lack of interest was palpable. They gave very brief answers and seemed rather distant, which made the 30 minutes quite difficult. I'm not sure if this reflects the company culture, but it was an unpleasant experience.
- Can you introduce yourself and your background?
- Could you elaborate on your experience?
- Do you have any typical behavioral questions for me?
Technical Support Analyst
I went to a hiring event that was supposed to have 3 interviews, then a short networking event and a campus tour. I did the interviews, and they all basically asked the same things. I thought a panel interview would have been better. The first two interviews were okay, but the third interviewer seemed like he was having a bad day and wasn't really into it. He cut the interview short, which surprised the person showing us around and made things awkward. The guide said she'd take us to the networking event next, but then someone whispered to her. She looked confused, got me some water, and apologized for the mix-up. She then showed me out. No networking, no campus tour like we were told. It was just a weird experience that made me question the company.
- How would you tackle a complex problem you haven't encountered before?
