Product Manager
Don't bother with this company. I invested a lot of time and resources into preparing for my interviews. The process included a skills test, a personality assessment, a phone interview, and a presentation to a panel. Ultimately, I was rejected because one person disliked my resume, which could have been checked earlier to save everyone time. I was really enthusiastic about this company and researched their clients and products. I developed ideas for a SaaS-based recurring revenue solution and analyzed why certain sunset products didn't succeed, thinking about how to make them thrive. I even installed their DatafIex framework and built a small app. I learned about the CEO's battle with cancer and even quit smoking because of it. Wishing good luck to whoever gets this job.
- In five years, where do you envision yourself being professionally?
- How would you approach implementing a recurring revenue model centered around SaaS?
- What strategies would you propose for the success of products that have previously been sunsetted?
Senior Product Manager
Went through an initial math test, then a recruiter phone screen, followed by a verification of the math test. Next was a call with the hiring manager, and then an on-site interview with the executive team. The in-person part felt a bit confrontational, especially for senior roles since they don't typically hire externally for these positions. It seemed like a 'you're either with us or you're not' vibe, culture-wise and in how the job should be done. However, I was told the role was meant to shake things up and change how product management is currently done. Questions were often phrased like 'tell me you can do this, yes or no,' instead of asking about past experiences. I was told I didn't give enough detail, and I was interrupted mid-sentence when trying to provide it because they wanted a quick 'yes or no.' In the end, I was passed over for an internal candidate.
- Can you summarize in one sentence (5 words) what I should share about you to the team?
- Describe your work ethic.
Product Manager
The interview process kicked off with an online business math test, followed by an HR phone screen and a hiring manager phone screen. There were plans for an on-site presentation to management and a technical in-person panel interview, but the organization's structure changed, and the position was unfortunately closed before it could be filled.

- Calculating total annual compensation including base salary, commission on a $500K target, paid vacation, and employer-paid medical/dental/vision costs ($1200/month).
- Math questions related to sales total deal size.
