It was a 4 stage process. First was a programming round focusing on Python, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI. Second was a business-focused round with guesstimates, segmentation analysis, and customer analysis. The third was a manager round where we discussed my previous projects and job experiences. Finally, an HR round was held to discuss package details, including CTC and its various components.

Behavioral Presentation

Started with a recruiter phone screen, then a DM phone screen. After that, there were 3 in-person interviews: one with the DM, one with the AM, and one with the VP suite. They were quick to let me know about next steps, but it took a while to schedule the interviews.

The HR recruiter scheduled our call at a specific time that would be during my lunch break at work, with some time I allotted before then for me to find a quiet place to take the call and prepare for it. They ended up calling 30 minutes before our scheduled time- I was in the middle of doing work on the sales floor at my store and was scrambling to find a quiet stockroom to finish the call. In hindsight, I should've asked to call the recruiter back when it was our scheduled time, but I panicked and didn't think to do so. The actual interview questions weren't too hard- mainly asking if I had experience in certain skills. I feel like I could've done better in the interview if I hadn't gotten thrown off by how early the recruiter called. I even checked my email afterward to make sure I had the time right- and I did. I ended up not getting an offer. Next time if this happens to me, I'll remember to ask to return the call when I'm available. But as for the recruiters...please make sure you're calling candidates at the time you chose for the interview!

The interviewer was looking for someone who was more into an administrative role rather than a marketing assistant. Even when I tried to explain how much initiative I could bring, they were not interested and mentioned they preferred someone who could simply follow SOPs, given that they are an MNC and largely follow directions from the US. After that conversation, I was not very keen on the role anymore.
