Store Manager
I applied online for a couple of the open positions and got a call about 4 days later from the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to set up a time to come in and talk with the store manager. I went to interview for about 30 minutes. The questions started with 'tell me about your job history.' I did ask what the process or the next steps were. The process is one on one with the Store Manager (SM), one on one with the District Manager (DM), and a possible phone interview with HR. Then an offer. I just had the first step and wanted to provide the info while it was fresh in my mind. There was no offer because I just started the process. I will update later. Update 08/20: Was not offered the position. Feedback from the interview was that I needed more specialty retail experience. I did the best job of all the interviews, but others had more experience in specialty retail.

Store Manager
I was a regular customer and after seeing my favorite retail store struggle, I was happy to step in as an entry level manager. I had been in management positions before and knew this would likely be easy. Having rapport with the store manager over the years he knew what to expect of me and just wanted a clear outline of what I had brought to the table was the basis for the interview. Interviewing with the DM was pleasant. She was up beat and had a lot of enthusiasm
- Can you share examples of how a company value has positively impacted your career?
- Which of our company values do you connect with the most?
Store Manager
As expected, you have to interview multiple times for the position. I was promoted internally and the process required me to run the store with no pay increase as the acting store manager from 4 months before being considered for the position. I then had to do a final interview and was sent an email a few days later saying I was offered the position.
- Can you describe your current business statistics and your observations from the past week?
- Tell me about your experience with hiring.
- How do you go about making the team schedule?
