I had an interview with HR, then one with two team managers, and finally a technical interview with two engineers. The atmosphere was really nice, and everyone was super friendly! I especially appreciated the HR person, Neil, who kept me updated throughout the whole process and was quick with feedback. The technical interview felt rushed because of time limits, and we had to cover a lot of ground: Debug, Kubernetes, Docker, Observability, Java, SysAdmin, Networking, Linux, AAD, SQL, Cloud, Elastic, etc. My advice is to talk about each topic and your experience with it until they cut you off, to make sure you highlight what you've done with that technology and don't give the impression you don't know much due to a brief answer.

Elastic's interview process was really professional and managed well. HR was always available, kept me in the loop, and answered my questions. The recruiters were good at communicating, open, and respectful, with no surprises. It was a bit long, with six interviews, and I was worried at first because other companies haven't been this organized. But Elastic did a great job. Meetings started on time, expectations were clear, and there was feedback throughout. Maybe they could cut a round or two to make it faster. It's obvious they put a lot of effort into evaluating candidates and making the hiring process better. They even asked for my feedback, which was nice. The assignments were fair, and how much work you put in really depends on you. Overall, it felt serious, respectful, and worthwhile, giving me a great impression of the company's professionalism from the start.

I was contacted by a recruiter about an open position in Elastic's Spanish office. The first step was an HR interview, followed by a hiring manager interview. It seemed okay, but things got weird afterward. They said feedback would come within the week (the HM interview was on Monday). No feedback came, so on Friday, I pinged the recruiter on email and LinkedIn, and they didn't reply. The next week, I emailed the hiring manager asking for feedback, positive or negative, but still no answer. So, basically, Elastic's recruiting process is a masterclass in ghosting. I'd really recommend not wasting your time with this company, but hey, maybe you'll have better luck :)

I was referred for this role and had one of the best interview processes. It started with a call to discuss my background, followed by a formal Zoom call with the recruiter. A few days later, I spoke with the hiring manager. Then, all four interviews were scheduled for a Thursday and Friday a few days after that. After the holidays, there was a two-week delay, and then the recruiter called to offer me the job. Throughout the process, the recruiter kept me updated via phone or email, even over the holidays, so I never felt like I was left wondering about the status.
