First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DuPont.
Laboratory Technician
So I had a recruiter reach out first. We had a short phone call, like under 10 minutes, mainly about the job details and then I had two interviews back-to-back in person. After that, they gave me a quick tour of the lab.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What aspects of your coursework did you find most appealing?

Senior Scientist
Got shortlisted for PhD campus interview when the company representatives visited our campus. Started with general introductions. Then, I gave a 10-12 min research presentation followed by a 10 mins discussion, Q/A on my research directions. After that, there were 8-10 behavioral questions all about conflict resolution, asking for help, collaborating/convincing people with diverse skillset.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Could you tell me about your research?
- Tell me about a time you handled a conflict with a coworker.
Process Engineer
The interview process at DuPont had three main stages. First, there was a 45-minute video call with a recruiter in EMEA, which was mostly about basic info and checking if I was a good fit. Then, a one-hour video interview with the hiring manager, which was more about getting to know me. The final stage was a three-hour on-site panel interview with six people. It started with me giving a 15-minute presentation on whatever I wanted, and then they asked questions. After that, there were three 45-minute sessions, each with two interviewers. The whole thing from applying to getting the offer took exactly three months, partly because of the holidays and the hiring manager being sick. It was a really clear and professional process, and I felt respected and comfortable. The recruiter kept me in the loop and was really quick to respond. I could tell they value teamwork because of the kinds of questions they asked. My advice is to be respectful, be yourself, and know DuPont's values like safety, respect, sustainability, and ethics.
- Do you lean towards working alone on smaller equipment or as a team member on a major production line?
- Regarding your pilot plant, what measures would you implement to enhance its safety?
ACCA Trainee
The ACCA Trainee Program at DuPont Hyderabad has three steps. First, an online aptitude test to check your general problem-solving, logic, and basic math skills. Second, an online accounting assessment testing your knowledge in areas like accounts payable/receivable, tax, financial reporting, inventory, and intercompany transactions. Third, an interview with DuPont employees where they ask basic accounting and behavioral questions to see if you have the technical skills and if you'd fit into the company culture. It's a straightforward process that looks at both your technical abilities and soft skills for the role.
- Could you detail the components of a cash flow statement and their effect on a company's cash?
