Behavioral

The interview process was terrible. They asked unclear questions like "How long would it take you to write a report" with no context. The interviewer was putting on lipstick on Teams while I was talking to the other person. I waited a month for a response, and when I followed up, they told me to wait longer. After another two weeks, I contacted someone else and was informed the position was filled. It felt like a complete waste of my time and effort.

HR reached out about 2 weeks after I applied online and scheduled a meeting for a week later. During that meeting, we discussed basic HR matters, and they emphasized needing to know my expected salary to proceed. Following that, there were two more interviews: a one-on-one with the regional lead, and then a panel with directors, all happening within three weeks. After that, I heard nothing (got ghosted). I didn't follow up, but when I checked the status online a month later, I saw I wasn't selected.

Behavioral Technical Other

The whole application process was in English and communication with the recruiter was in English. I prepared for the interview in English only to find out that I was expected to conduct the conversation in German. Although I was initially asked to join an online meeting, I was then asked to come in in person, which I did. However, it was disappointing to see that the manager attended the meeting online! So it gave me the impression that the three-day office policy only applies to some. There was no follow-up email after the interview, which is never a good sign of respect towards the time spent by the interviewee.

The application process was super fast and easy, it included two main stages. First, I had to complete an Artic Shors assessment, which had some puzzles and questions to gauge my personality. Then, the second stage was an online assessment day. This involved a group discussion with two other candidates. We talked about a topic that wasn't really related to Engineering; it was pretty straightforward and they just wanted to see our teamwork skills. After that, I had an interview with my future line manager and an HR representative.
