First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Directi.
SRE Engineer
The interview included questions about my resume, Linux fundamentals, and some networking concepts like DNS and routing. They also presented some Kubernetes scenarios for troubleshooting. I completed two rounds before leaving the process because I received another job offer.
- Could you describe your approach to migrating a legacy service from virtual machines to Kubernetes, and what key considerations would be involved?
Accounts Executive
The HR round went well. Following that, there was an accounting test. Typically, companies provide a checklist, but this one had accounting questions in a Word document that was poorly organized. It took a lot of time to type. Some questions weren't clear, like one about bank reconciliation that was confusing. For a company like Directi, I expected better accounting test questions to judge an accountant. After the accounting test, we had an Excel test. It was Excel 2016, and I couldn't use keyboard shortcuts. The interface was hard to navigate. The test was confusing and challenging, but good. I think they could have improved the Excel test too. Questions should be precise and specific, and the interface should match.

Customer Support Manager
So, first a recruiter from Naukri reached out, then the TA team at Directi got in touch. I had an initial chat with the TA Manager about my background, then a phone call with a Sr. Product Manager where we mostly talked about role expectations and my experience. After that, they gave me a case study to design a support function from scratch. Then came the onsite interviews: one with the Flock TA Head, two with Product Managers, two with Tech Leads, and one with the Directi TA Head. These interviews were mainly about my past work. Finally, I had a phone chat with the Head of Product and a video call with the CEO. They were all very professional and knew what they were looking for. I got through all of them, but the pay wasn't right, so I didn't join.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What are your expectations for this role and how does your experience align?
- How would you set up a support function from scratch?
Web Developer
I applied through glassdoor only. The interview process took 3 days. First I got a call from HR who asked me some basic questions related to my education and my resume. Then for the next day I was given a home assignment in which I had to code a webpage from a wireframe in 1 hour and submit it. Finally, I had a Skype interview which was completely technical. The questions were related to my coding assignment as well as the projects that I had mentioned in my resume. Overall it was a great experience as I learned which type of questions could be asked in an Interview for this job role.
- Could you explain the purpose of "use strict" in JavaScript?
- Can you provide a JavaScript function to check for palindromes?
- What is the distinction between opacity:0 and visibility:hidden?
