Analytics Manager
I had a first chat with a recruiter, and since that went well and they'd already talked to the hiring manager about me, they were going to set up an interview with them. They told me to watch my email for the details after the hiring manager got back from leave. The next day, I got a rejection email with no explanation. I thought it might have been a mistake and tried to follow up, but never heard back.
- Can you share your experience and how it aligns with the requirements of this position?
Senior Software Engineer
We started with a recruiter screen, just a quick call to chat about your background and see if you'd be a good fit. Then came three technical rounds. The first was a take-home assignment. The second was more interactive, including a 20-minute presentation on a topic they gave you. The third technical round involved talking about backend performance optimization and how to make some code work better. Finally, there was a values interview with HR to make sure we were on the same page about everything before they made an offer.
- Could you implement a standard cryptographic data structure with the operations they mentioned?
People Partner
I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn about the role, but after asking for the job description, I didn't get a response. Three months later, I get an email saying I've been successful in getting through to the first stage of interviews, followed by automated reminders to schedule my interview. Scheduled my first stage interview with a recruiter, who showed up late, and called me by the wrong name. He told me that the role had not been publicly advertised, and since he was new, I was asked me to explain what a People Partner does. He said "Cool, it sounds like you know what you're talking about, I'll put you through to the next round". This call lasted around 10 minutes. The second stage interview felt very formal and unfriendly. The interviewers really wanted to know why I had left my last few roles, and raised their eyebrows when I mentioned that I had gone through a couple of redundancies. I sent a “thank you” email, and after not hearing anything for a week, chased up again with no response. 2 weeks later, I got an automated rejection email with zero feedback.
- Could you explain the reasons for leaving each of your previous positions?
Help Desk Consultant
So the interview process for this role started with a take-home test. After that, I had two Zoom interviews. The first one was with the hiring manager and a team member. The last interview was with the Senior Director. Everyone was really professional and upfront about what they were looking for. They asked questions about my behavior, how I align with company values, and my technical knowledge, especially regarding Web3 and Ethereum.
- Can you explain what EIP-1559 is?
- In your own words, what does "community" signify?
- Could you share details about a project from your previous job that you found particularly rewarding?
