Applied for Senior Full Stack Engineer, MetaMask, remote. The interview process is completely detached from any human connection. You put in your application, if you are selected, you get a take home test. This is all done automatically, never even a name attached to any emails. During this take home, they ask you to record your voice, for what amounts to a multiple choice question. I recorded dead air, and left a "review" of the process for them. I was denied the next step, by an automated system.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

The interview process was pretty straightforward and fair. For me, it involved 3 rounds. The first round was a chat with a leader about my background, the company, and the role. I really liked this part because the interviewer was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the company. After that, I got a take-home assignment using Python where I had to review an existing microservice. Round 2 had two parts. The first was a deeper technical interview focusing on my background and skills, covering topics like how NodeJS works, microservices vs. monoliths, and system architecture design. The second part involved discussing my critiques of the microservice with two engineers. I did well in this because I could talk a lot about how the code could be better and suggested some solid alternative solutions.

I applied online and then had an introductory call. After that, I was given a take-home test, then a technical interview, and finally, a cultural fit interview with the project manager.
