Behavioral Case

I had a recruiter screen that was pretty standard. They asked for background info and some high-level questions about products I've developed from inception to launch. Then there was a take-home case study to complete and present to a Sr. PM. The case study itself was clear, but the expected workload was not defined. Because of this ambiguity, I decided to withdraw my application. I felt it wouldn't make sense to invest 20+ hours, which I estimated would be necessary to be competitive, especially while holding a full-time job. While I understand the desire to see PMs demonstrate real-world capabilities, the success of these assignments is directly tied to the time invested. I'm interested in the crypto space and looking at other opportunities that don't require this type of take-home work, as it puts those other applications at risk. It might be better to allocate a specific time slot during the interview process (1-2 hours) for candidates to complete the assignment, ensuring fairness and equal evaluation.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was great, everyone was super nice and helpful. It felt really fair to me as a candidate, and gave me a solid impression of Consensys. It kicked off with a chat with the recruiter, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. After that, I had a panel presentation, and then wrapped up with two one-on-one interviews. All of these were done over Zoom.

The interview process had 4 rounds, but unfortunately, I was rejected after a discovery call with the hiring manager. It included a 30-minute chat with the recruiter, a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager, a technical interview, and a Values Interview.
